  • Family with children

Very friendly and helpful staff. Ability to use a washing machine. Terrific pool and nicely landscaped. Free parking available. Great location for trips into and around Zadar. Apartment was very nice, modern and had a fully functional/supplied kitchen.Balconies off of every room.

Size of the shower (way to small) and bath towels.

  • Family with children

The view from the balcony was just fantastic, we enjoyed just sitting there and watching the Hvar town and the islands. Rooms were clean and ok standrad, although not being luxurious. The locaton was perfect, only few minutes walk to the center. Car parking facility was good and we were alowed the keep thecar there even after. Checked out as we left the island only in the eveing. The staff was really friendly and helpful. I would really recommend this accomodation to anyone visiting Hvar.

Breakfast would have been nice, but it is not very common in Croatia, we did not get it anywhere except in four star hotels. No credit card payments, only cash.

  • Couple

The staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. The apartment and villa in general were very nice. The appartment had everything you might need including a fully equiped kitchen and washing machine.

It is a bit far from the centre of Zadar - a 30 minute walk. But only about a 10 minute walk to the beach.

  • Family with children

The apartment was very comfortable and clean. Staff were very nice and helpful. Pool area was lovely. Nice place to stay with children- Close to the city. Would deftinitly stay here again.

  • Group of friends

The family were very welcoming and helpful. We really felt at home here.

The air conditioning seemed to stop working on our last night/day, but nothing major.

  • Family with children

We liked the swimming pool a lot.

There was some problems with the gas cookers, the first one was leaking gas and the second one didn't have any so we had to use the electric ones.

  • Couple

Friendly staff and clean accommodation. Communal areas and the pool were well maintained and pretty, and the apartment was spacious.

The shower head in our apartment was broken and we had a power cut due to a tripped fuse that was unable to be fixed until the next day. Once staff were notified, they fixed the power issue straight away, but it was incredibly annoying as we had no air-con or electricity for the entire nights stay.

  • Group of friends

The hospitaliy was great. Location wasn't too bad, watch the taxi drivers though, no one is straight with you there. But thats part of the experience. I love Croatia and our hosts. All in all very good self catering accomodation. Many thanks

  • Group of friends

Very nice, spacious apartments and pool. The owner was really helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

  • Couple

We stayed at Villa Vanilla for 5 days and would highly recommend it. The daughter of the owner picked us up from the airport on arrivale (20eur), this is the same price as the local taxis charge. If you were on a budget it's easy to get the bus to the main bus station in Zadar (25Kuna/£3.50) and then get a taxi for 30kuna (about £4) from there as everyone seemed to know where the villa was. The villa itself is on a quiet street 15 mins walk from beach and the town centre. There is a very nice pool and sun lounging area with bbq. The apartment was very clean and spacious, the kitchen was well equipped so cooking in was easy. The villa is family run and they were really lovely and very helpful, showing us good restaurants to go to, they could also help organise trips too.

The beach was a bit further away than we thought but not a problem if you don't mind a walk!

  • Group of friends

The owner and staff were wonderful and helped us throughout the holiday with a smile. I had broken my leg before and they did everything they could to help to make it easier, like letting us park car at the front where I had far less stairs to negotiate. It was easly possible to walk to the beach and to the town of Zadar, I was in a wheelchair. The old city is lovely and there are lots of things to do, inclduing going and listening to the pipe organ. Lots of lovely places to eat and some very cheap . Worth visiting Nim(old town) and for a good laugh while eating brilliantly the owners sisters restaurant 'Librnia' in Petrocane. A must is the boat trip to Konati National Park; a brilliant day with super meal and a couple of stops which gave an nsight into the rurak kife the people live on the islands. Dont be alarmed when they only give you biscuits when you are on board- a snadwich is given out after for breakfast!

I assumed (wrongly) to be able to pay by credit card or debit card at the end of the stay so if you are going there be sure to make sure you have the cash to be able to pay, otherwise it means a trip to the bank befroe you leave. They will accept euros or kuna and I should have asked at the beginning of the week.

Balcony with garden/pool and sea view, spacious bedrooms and living room

Our hosts were extremely welcoming, helpful and informative. We stayed in the villa with pool and it was very comfortable. We were three people traveling together, so Villa Vanilla was a great value for the money; much better for us than paying for two separate hotel rooms, but still having some privacy. Really nice to have a place to park the car and just leave it. Taxi was cheap so we just left the car parked and took the (3-4 euro) short cab ride to the center of Zadar. Very nice breakfast served in your room or on the veranda!

  • Group of friends

We were 8 young guys splitted on two apartments. I loved it, in my opinion you get more than you pay for :) The reseptionist lady was good in english and really really helpful. It was only a 20 min-ish walk to the city. One thing I really liked about Villa Vanilla was the cleaning lady. She did a terrific job every day.

We rented two apartments. One of the apartments were really nice and big, but the other one was a little tiny, and had smaller beds, TV and kitchen than the other apartment. It didn't matter much, though. The pool was ice cold, but i guess I had to expect than in april.

  • Group of friends

Very nice people, relaxed and good service, in other words: very glad that I booked at Villa Vanilla. I'd definetly return to Villa Vanilla when i'll be visiting Zadar next time, and I would recommend to everybody who wants to stay in Zadar for a fair price, having a great holiday!
